As you all know, One Direction are getting their own radio show and we have all the details for you so you can make sure your phone is switched off and no one will bother you while you listen to their lovely voices.
Each member has got their own hour long show on Manchester station Key 103, from 3-4pm each Sunday. First up is Zayn this weekend, followed by Liam on Jaunary 29th, Niall on Feburary 5th, Louis on February 12th and then Harry rounding it off on February 19th.
According to the Key 103 website, the boys will be hosting their shows ‘Direction from 1D HQ’ and not only picking their favourite songs, but revealing all about life in the band!
Zayn told the station “What a way to start 2012 – getting our radio shows! We’re really excited to get on air and pick the playlist!”
Luckily, if you don’t live in Manchester, you can tune in to the radio shows via the Key 103 website and even listen to them again and again after the show is finished. Happy days.
Personally, we can’t wait to hear what the boys are going to play and what juicy secrets they’re going to reveal. Let’s hope it’s not something we’ve heard before.
Who are you going to be tuning in to? Will all the boys get your undivided attention or are you going to wait until your favourite takes control of the airwaves? Let us know!

A COUPLE of months back, I found myself sleeping in a teenage girl’s room. At this juncture, I should probably point out that I was staying with in-laws, accompanied by my (non-teenage) wife and that the girl in question was elsewhere.
The reason I mention the sleeping arrangements is that the bedroom walls were covered with posters of boy band One Direction.
An Anglo-Irish five-piece, the band came third in the seventh series of the X Factor. Not coming first seems to have been no barrier to popularity. Their debut album, Up All Night, was released in November and, at the time of writing, was at No 2 in the UK. For inexplicable reasons, it also got to No 7 in the Belgian charts; although only in the Flanders section of the Belgian charts. It appears that their Walloon neighbours were less keen as Up All Night peaked at just No 65 there.
Rather like the Walloons, One Direction’s appeal is largely lost on me, but not on my young in-law, who had covered the posters, and indeed, one of the pop moppets in particular, with dozens of kisses and love hearts. In some ways, it seems a pity that we don’t continue to advertise our passions in the same way in our adult years. M&S elasticated waistband trousers and cholesterol-reducing yoghurts may not set young pulses racing, but they have a place in my fat-clogged heart.
Those who prefer their musicians with a little more grit in their souls should try the Harry Papadopoulos exhibition at Street Level Photoworks in Glasgow. Harry P snapped everyone from The Cramps to Bryan Ferry via Blondie, as well as emerging Scottish talent such as Josef K, Orange Juice and The Bluebells, whose Ken McCluskey co-curated this exhibition.

The five members of boy band One Direction are to each host their own radio show for Manchester station Key 103.
The programmes, airing over five weeks on Sunday afternoons will also go out across the UK on digital station The Hits Radio.
The shows will be called ‘Direct from 1D HQ’ and see each member of the group pick their favourite songs and talk about life as part of One Direction.
They’ll air in the 3-4pm slot on Sunday afternoons starting from this weekend (22 January).
Zayn Malik is doing the first one, followed by Liam, Niall, Louis and finally Harry Styles on February 19th.
Zayn says: “What a way to start 2012 – getting our own radio shows! We’re really excited to get on air and pick our own playlist!”
Gary Stein, Programme Director for Key 103 and The Hits Radio told RadioToday.co.uk: “This is the band that gets the fans screaming and we’re delighted that they’ll kick off 2012 with us. It’s sure to be must-hear radio for fans of the band!”

One Direction is made up of five bouncy teens, but that doesn’t mean they can’t get a little bleak and deep on us every now and then!
Despite the fact the guys seem not to have a care in the world (except, perhaps, for Harry Styles!) Niall Horan opened up about the pressures of fame to We Love Pop magazine this week.
“There are a lot of expectations for us to do well. The music industry moves so fast you have to be on your toes.”
The band, signed by Syco Music, released the third fastest-selling single of 2011 with ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ and their debut album reached the number 2 slot in the UK charts. But the guys remain realistic about the fickle world of fame.
“We’re lucky because we’ve got a good fan base, but if they don’t like our music, how long is that going to last?”
Oh dear, how very depressing. Still, we doubt the boys are going out of fashion anytime soon, so they needn’t feel too concerned about the future just yet…

One Direction are an excitable bunch of lads to say the least, and we’ve seen how wound up they get when they all spend long periods of time together (which, er, is all the time), but what about when they’re all hanging out and FANCY THE SAME GIRL?
It’s like a plot line of the soap opera nobody’s dared to write.
“I don’t think we’ve been in that situation as of yet,” Louis told the Daily Star.
“But if it did happen we would have to fight it out with a mean game of Scrabble.
“We’d battle it out until the end. Or maybe a mean game of noughts and crosses.”
WOAH. Some blood must’ve been shed over Little Mix then, surely?
But actually, that’s just assuming that all the girls the boys like fancy them back. Just look at them, they’re not exactly the hottest boys we’ve ever seen are they?*
One Direction told us earlier in the year how they get girls’ numbers and OH HOW WE LOLLED.

James reveals he’s a secret Belieber and One Directionette
One Direction are used to being surrounded by hordes of screaming fans – but they’re likely to be surprised by their latest devoted follower.
Actor and writer James Corden, 33, has revealed he’s a big fan of the X Factor 2010 contestants.
‘It’s not fashionable but I like One Direction,’ says James.
‘I just think they’re good!’
And it seems 1D aren’t the only teenage pop stars James has on his MP3 player.
The Gavin & Stacey star isn’t too embarrased to admit he also enjoys blasting out a bit of Justin Bieber.
‘He is ludicrously talented,’ James tells The Independent Magazine.
‘He’s not manufactured, or from a talent show, he’s the real thing, and still everybody hates him.
‘Well, not me: I’m a Belieber.’

THERE was only One love yesterday after Britain’s biggest boy band hit Scotland.
One Direction rolled into town for three sellout gigs in Glasgow.
The boys – Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne – were mobbed by fans everywhere they went.
Screaming girls laid siege to their hotel and waited overnight in the cold just to get a glimpse of their heroes.
And the band admit they’re loving all the attention. Louis, 18, said: “The best thing about Scotland are the people and the One Direction fans.
“You really are the best. We would love to spend more time in Scotland and we are going to try our hardest to do just that.”
Harry admitted the fans have been amazing on their UK tour and bombard them with bizarre things, including Haribo sweets, when they are on stage. He said: “They get really involved.”
As well as playing the Clyde Auditorium last night, X Factor finalists One Direction will play a matinee show today and another gig later tonight.
Pals Samantha Egan and Hayley Milligan, both 17 and from Glasgow, are among the most devoted fans, although it is really all about Harry.
Samantha, who has a Harry doll, said: “I love everything about him. It’s not just his look or his music, it is everything.
“We’ve met him a few times and we are here just to get another chance to see him.”
Hayley added: “A lot of our friends give us a slagging for it but it’s worth it.”
The boys – whose debut hit What Makes You Beautiful has been nominated for a Brit for best single – arrived on Thursday and celebrated Zayn’s 19th birthday at Glasgow’s Sugar Cube.
Club manager Richard Cook said: “They were very friendly and had a great time.”
Listen to the full chat with Romeo on In:Demand on Radio Clyde 1 on Monday from 7pm.

With slugs and snails and puppy dog’s tails replaced by bow-ties and braces and hair to induce wails, One Direction played the first of three sold-out Glasgow shows. Kicking things off early to send their young fans wild before bed time, the teeny-bopper idols are clean cut from the pop perfection mould, another of X Factor’s chart invaders.
Only grazing the tabloids with their antics, the pretty much squeaky-clean famous five bounded around the stage, a real life replacement for Cartoon Network. With their four-piece backing band being of a similar age, and an all-American school set up in the background, the show was much like an all boys edition of High School Musical. Given that the audience was like an all girls school with only the odd teacher, the combination worked well.
Second single Gotta Be You had adults and kids singing along in unison, the smartly-dressed rogues well turned out enough to please the parents, whilst their mischievous messing around in the background kept their street cred at full capacity.
Showing off their all round cheeky-chappie persona, the boys carried out a question and answer session after contacting fans on Twitter during the day. Including the now infamous Inbetweeners dance and Irish charmer Niall Horan working his Scottish accent with, “Ye canny shove yer granny aff a bus”, they had their audience well on side, maximising their charm to make up for their less impressive dance moves.
Working their way through their debut album Up All Night, the title track allowed room for a few Busted jumps before Everything About You took a more clubby twist in proceedings, the audience thrashing around like they’d had too much fizzy pop. The heavier bass here made way for a bizarre two minute DJ set from ‘DJ Malik’. This involved a solo stint from Zayn wearing headphones and bouncing up and down behind a booth to a few short bursts of chart hits. Whether there was any mixing going on was questionable, though I’m not sure the 11-year-olds screaming at the throb of their beating heart minded, as long as his hair stayed in place.
A video of the boys frolicking around in a lodge before heading outdoors into the snow saw a lumberjack wardrobe change as they reappeared, guitar in hand for a cover of Kings Of Leon hit Someone Like You. This was a bit like a school talent show, though the bright lights and good looks allowed the performance to transcend even further into High School Musical territory.
Snow was falling from the ceiling for latest single One Thing, not to be released until the 13th of February, though this didn’t stop fans from singing every word and stomping their Lelli Kellys to the beat.
With no sign of anyone tiring onstage or off, number one hit What Makes You Beautiful was unleashed in a final attempt to drag fans into sweet dreams. With five boys living their dreams onstage and thousands of fans living them offstage, I doubt there would be any need for sleep tonight.
